IATA prediction that airline losses worldwide will hit USD9 billion in 2009 must be causing lots of concerns to those affected. Just thinking how much of these losses could be reduced by cutting only a small proportion of disruption costs...
Not a bad idea considering that delayed domestic passenger flights just in the US cost airlines around USD19 billion annually*.
